Cortina Dermatology•Nashville, TN We’re looking for a highly organized and proactive Biologics Coordinator to join our dermatology team. In this role, you’ll be a key advocate for patients with chronic and immune-mediated skin conditions, ensuring they receive timely access to biologic therapies. You’ll manage insurance authorizations, coordinate with specialty pharmacies, and provide education and support to keep patients on track with their treatment plans. This is an ideal role for someone who understands the complexity of specialty medications and thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered telehealth setting. Key Responsibilities Patient Support & Education Serve as the main point of contact for patients starting or continuing biologic therapy. Provide education on treatment plans, injection techniques, medication storage, and expected outcomes. Monitor adherence with proactive follow-ups and reminders; coordinate necessary appointments. Insurance & Access Management Verify benefits and lead prior authorization processes for biologic medications. Manage renewals, appeals, and step therapy documentation aligned with payer requirements. Help patients enroll in copay assistance, savings programs, or manufacturer-sponsored bridge programs. Pharmacy Coordination Liaise with specialty pharmacies to ensure on-time medication delivery and resolve access issues. Track medication shipments, refills, and pharmacy communication in real-time. Maintain accurate records of therapy start dates, labs, and response milestones. Clinical Team Integration Work closely with dermatologists and care teams to align access with clinical strategy. Monitor lab results and treatment progress in the EMR. Participate in case reviews and multidisciplinary planning when appropriate.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in healthcare preferred. At least 2 years of experience in a medical office or specialty pharmacy, preferably within dermatology, rheumatology, or immunology. Familiarity with specialty drug access pathways and biologic medications.

Preferred:

CMA, LPN, RN, or CPhT certification. Experience supporting patients with conditions like psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, or alopecia areata. Proficiency with EMRs and payer authorization portals.
