Dental Assistant Auburn Dental Care 778 North Dean Road, Auburn, AL 36830 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. You will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment. Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform basic administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic, adhering to infection control protocols. Support the dentist in prosthodontics and general dentistry procedures as needed. Requirements Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental management software is a plus. Strong understanding of medical coding, medical terminology, and dental terminology. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating initiative and attention to detail. Certification as a Dental Assistant is preferred; willingness to learn is essential.
