Dental Assistant 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 2010 S Juniper St, Philadelphia, PA 19148 Job Summary We are seeking a Dental Assistant who has good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, and other staff members. This position requires Dental Assistants to support dentists in providing clinical care by preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, and assisting during procedures. They manage patient records, take X-rays, and provide post-operative instructions. Additionally, they help with dental emergencies and promote oral hygiene education for patients. Responsibilities Assist in patient management, treatment, and post-operative care Maintain sterilization and cleanliness for treatment rooms and instruments Accurately document patient procedure and maintain patient records Monitor and maintain inventory for dental supplies Contribute to office tasks and work collaboratively within a team environment Operate dental radiography equipment for the purpose of oral radiography if the dental assistant has completed an approved radiation safety course Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of accredited dental assistant program is a plus Familiar with HIPAA, OSHA, and common dental regulations Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting while managing multiple tasks efficiently Strong communication skills; caring, and have a positive attitude Knowledge of dental terminology Dental Assistant National Board Radiation and Safety Exam Certification is preferred Ability to stand for long period and lift up to 25 pounds
