Dental Hygienist Position Available In St. Louis, Missouri

Dental Hygienist Mark Hesker, DDS, PC 450 N New Ballas Rd Ste 200, Creve Coeur, MO 63141 We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to treat and promote good oral health practices for our patients. In our office, the Dental Hygienist duties revolve around conducting initial patient screenings, cleaning teeth and advising patients on oral health and preventative care. Our Hygienists work closely with the doctor to develop customized treatment plans for each patient. Our office is open Monday thru Thursday, no weekends. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel comfortable before their examination Review Patient’s Medical Conditions Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patient’s teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give home care instructions to patients after hygiene procedures Take digital X-rays Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various oral conditions Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Perform proper sterilization techniques Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in Dentrix software Outstanding communication skills A calm and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Valid license to practice
