Job Description Aramark Student Nutrition provides food andnutrition services to over 350 school districts in the U.S. Itoffers public and private education institutions a variety ofdining options including breakfast and lunch programs, after-schoolsnacks, catering, nutrition education and retail operations. The RegisteredDietitian helps to provide a nutritionally sound and cost-efficientfood services program that will meet the needs of students whilemaintaining compliance with all local guidelines as they relate tonutrition regulations. Utilizes technical training andgovernment-mandated nutritional standards on food health to develophealthy menu implementation plans. Will work closely with OpX,culinary, and management teams. Job Responsibilities Plan all ChildNutrition menus utilizing a menu planning software in accordancewith USDA guidelines and Aramark menu strategy. Maintains requireddocumentation for USDA, state, local, client guidelines related tomeal services (i.e. Nutrient Analysis of menu, CN/PFS labels, USDAWorkbooks, etc.) Coordinating use of USDA Foods/Commodities withinmenus. Supporting with annual USDA Foods orders. Supports FoodManagement Process, oversees purchasing compliance & accuracy tomenu, as needed supporting reviewing food orders. Managesvendor/supplier relationships to ensure accurate stocking,availability, and delivery of food items. Visits school cafes on aregular basis to assess operations utilizing audit tools(Controlling Food Cost, School Allergen Readiness Plan,Administrative Review Preparedness). Assists with new employeetraining in areas such as adhering to food safety standards, menu &recipe compliance, and portioning. Provide support and assistanceto students who require accommodation for dietary needs or foodallergies, may include menu development and training of front-lineassociates. Support adherence to all client nutrition & wellnesspolicies and contract requirements Educates clients and consumers,regarding healthy food choices through school training andcommunity outreach. In order to meet our commitments,job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formalnotice. Qualifications Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, or RDNEligible within 6 months of hire. Completed a minimum of abachelor’s degree and course work accredited or approved by theAccreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics(ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. RegisteredDietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR):
Successful completion of internship program (ACEND), satisfactoryscore on an exam, plus fulfillment of continuing educationrequirements).
