Full Time, Days Job Description:

Responsible for the development, organization and operation ofnursing services and supportive services for the Health Center(both SNF and AL). Responsible for the coordination of nursingservices for Health Center residents including the procurement ofoutside sources. Responsible for the coordination and direction ofthe total planning for nursing services including recommendationthrough a staffing plan. Selects, trains, evaluates, disciplinesall nursing services personnel. Oversees completion of writtenorientation and annual evaluations of all nursing staff.

Participates in the coordination of resident care services throughdepartmental staff meetings. Attends, prepares and analyzesnecessary information for the Quarterly Assurance Meetings andannual policy review. Coordinates required and supplementalin-service education programs appropriate for nursing staff.

Ensures that significant clinical developments of residents arereported. Reviews the nursing requirements of each residentadmitted to the Health Center and assists the attending physicianin planning care. Oversees the care plan development for residents.

Evaluates all admissions for appropriate level of care and/orMedicare coverage/denial. Oversees completion and timely submissionof MDS data. Oversees ordering of all nursing supplies, officesupplies, and equipment for the Health Center. Serves ‘on call’ onweekends and after normal working hours. Serves as Manager on Dutyon scheduled weekends. Participates in planning an annual budgetfor department.

Job Requirements:

Registered Nurse with a currentRN license in North Carolina. Prefer experience in Senior Living orSkilled Nursing & Rehabilitation. Ability to communicateeffectively with residents, families and staff. Ability to usesound judgment and work well under pressure. Strong organizationalskills. Basic computer proficiency.
