Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program Minimumof one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound TechnologistCurrent BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Valid Ultrasound license incompliance with state regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

CurrentRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)Current ARRT Certification in Sonography Current Credential fromCardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Othercertifications or licenses may be required for this position

Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer)

• Gen/Vascularuses high-frequency sound waves to generate images of patients’internal organs and blood vessels.

They ensure patients are preppedfor examinations, perform ultrasound scans, and analyze sonogramsfor diagnostic purposes. The role requires advanced technicalskills, patient-centered care, and collaboration withmultidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Essential Work Functions:

Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology,pathology, and medical terminology Collaborate withmultidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaginginto patient care plans Prepare and position patient to ensureaccurate imaging and prioritize their comfort and safety Performclinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations ofgeneral and vascular studies Evaluate images for clarity andaccuracy Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all ultrasoundequipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safetystandards Apply technical expertise and critical thinking toperform sonographic procedures effectively Work efficiently infast-paced and high-pressure environments while maintainingprofessionalism Maintain accurate patient records and documentationin compliance with legal and regulatory standards

RequiredEssential Skills:

Critical thinking, service excellence and goodinterpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, &communicate in the English language is required Ability toread/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

• Remain in astationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
