Overview
The main responsibility of the Course Instructor (BLS/ACLS/PALS) is to deliver American Heart Association and First Responder training programs offered through the University Hospital Community Training Center. This role involves actively engaging students in the classroom and collaborating with

BLS/ACLS/PALS

coordinators and staff to maintain high-quality instruction. The instructor also supports the operations of the Community Training Center and assists the Administrative Director as needed.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do Instruct American Heart Association (AHA) courses including BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Teach First Responder training programs offered by the University Hospital Community Training Center.
Facilitate effective learning experiences in a classroom setting.
Collaborate with

BLS/ACLS/PALS

coordinators and staff to ensure high-quality course delivery.
Support the daily operations of the Community Training Center (CTC).
Assist the Administrative Director with various tasks as needed.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring

Certifications:

BLS Instructor certifications required
PALS and ACLS Instructor certification preferred

Education:

Associate’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred
Paramedic certification preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching BLS, ACLS, PALS, and First Responder courses preferred

Skills:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support educational development

Availability:

Must be available to work evenings and weekends when courses are scheduled
Compensation
The expected hourly range for this position is XH/99

H:

$38.48 (BLS) $40 (ACLS) per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
