Certification BLS Certification High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Entry level Full Job Description Summary Under general supervision of the Fire Captain, perform routine, complex, and emergency tasks relating to fire suppression, fire prevention, and emergency medical services according to state, local, and federal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma from an accredited education institution or GED (Education will be verified). Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Applicants must upload the required documents/certifications listed below to their application, failure to upload required documentation will result in your application being disapproved.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

Proof of current licensure in the State of Florida as an Emergency Medical Technician or Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) certificate Proof of current Florida Firefighter Certificate of Compliance as approved by the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards High school diploma/GED Valid Florida Driver’s License Birth Certificate EVOC Current BLS/HCP Current CPAT within 1 year Completed Tobacco affidavit

Special Requirement:

All applicants must be non-users of tobacco (any form) for at least one (1) year prior to application, remain tobacco free during application process, and must retain tobacco free for the entire period of employment as a Firefighter with the City of Riviera Beach. Tobacco free means you have not used cigarettes, pipes, cigars, chewing tobacco, snuff, vapes or any other type of smoking or smokeless tobacco on or off duty during the tenure of their employment.
