Thank you in advance for taking the time to consider joining our team – JMS Interim Chief Executive Officer Summary Spectrum Clinical Research is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Executive Officer to provide executive leadership and maintain full operational oversight during the Founder & CEO’s scheduled sabbatical. This role requires comprehensive leadership across multiple business units, financial management, strategic execution, and limited personal oversight responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Leadership & Department Oversight:

Clinical Operations Oversight:

Ensure the ongoing execution of all clinical trials, patient recruitment, protocol adherence, site management, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. Supervise Study Coordinators, Clinical Trial Assistants, Sub-Investigators, Principal Investigators, and associated clinical staff.

Regulatory & Quality Assurance:

Oversee compliance with FDA, IRB, GCP, HIPAA, and all applicable clinical research regulatory frameworks. Supervise the Regulatory Affairs Manager, Quality Assurance team, and Compliance Officers to ensure audit readiness and protocol adherence.

Finance & Revenue Cycle Management:

Direct financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and financial reporting. Work closely with the CFO (or Finance Director) to maintain financial stability, monitor cash flow, and ensure contractual obligations are met.

Business Development & Sponsor Relations:

Maintain ongoing relationships with existing sponsors, CROs, and partners. Support new business development activities, proposal generation, contract negotiations, and strategic partnerships as needed.

Human Resources & Personnel Management:

Oversee HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, staff performance reviews, and organizational culture preservation. Act as final decision authority on personnel matters, in coordination with HR leadership.

Information Technology & Data Management:

Ensure uninterrupted functioning of all IT platforms used for clinical data capture, trial management systems, financial systems, and communications. Coordinate with IT support and vendors for system maintenance and upgrades.
