This front desk position is responsible for managing patient interactions, coordinating treatment and appointments, and serving as a key liaison between patients and our dental team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient service in a fast-paced dental practice. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism Schedule and confirm appointments via phone, email, and text Verify dental insurance and obtain any necessary pre-authorizations Collect patient payments Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our practice management software (Open Dental) Coordinate treatment plans and follow-up appointments with patients Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely, courteous manner Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure continuity and quality of care Manage front office duties and maintain an organized reception area Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy standards Document patient interactions and communications in the electronic health record Qualifications Previous experience in a dental front office or patient care coordination role preferred Proficiency with dental practice software, especially Open Dental, is highly desirable Strong understanding of dental insurance processes and terminology (preferred, not required) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written High level of professionalism, empathy, and customer service skills Demonstrated ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information management best practices Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills Preferred Experience Experience with patient scheduling and coordination in a dental or medical setting Familiarity with dental treatment planning and insurance benefits verification Previous use of Open Dental or similar dental software Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Comfortable with front office billing and payment collection tasks Bilingual skills a plus (optional — include if relevant) Why Join Us?
