You care about the small details, take pride in elevating guest experiences, and believe in leading by example. You’re dependable, proactive, and eager to make others feel at ease. You strive for a proactive approach, but can react and adapt readily. General Responsibilities we look for our Hospitality Manager to perform: : Oversee the flow of service during events, supervising and supporting staff and ensuring both timelines and service goals are met. : Schedule, train, and supervise FOH team members; ensure staff are prepared, professional, and positioned for success. : Coordinate setup crews and other team members to set and meet comprehensive expectations. : Uphold Birch Hill’s service, presentation, and conduct standards while addressing guest concerns with care and professionalism. : Assist with staffing logistics, inventory needs, and coordination of resources to keep events running smoothly. General Qualifications that we look for our Hospitality Manager to possess: Leadership experience in hospitality or event service, with a focus on guest-facing roles Excellent communication and organizational skills; confident directing a team A commitment to proactivity and high-quality service Flexible and calm under pressure; able to adapt to changing priorities and needs Availability for weekend and evening events, plus some weekday flexibility Familiarity with formal dining expectations—or a willingness to learn quickly Valid driver’s license and comfort with larger vehicles a plus We ask that our staff be comfortable and capable of lifting at least 50 pounds as many of our events may require a physical component, including carrying over-the-shoulder service trays. Our service team should be capable of spending several hours on their feet, sometimes exceeding eight hours at a time. Comfortability driving large vehicles and standard transmission is a plus. Compensation We strive to be competitive and meet the expectations of our staff. We compensate all of our staff on an hourly basis with unrestricted overtime based on demand.
