We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Mental Wellness to work collaboratively with our Clinical Director of Counseling and Mental Wellness to ensure the effective delivery of counseling and mental wellness services to our clients. This position provides oversight and facilitation of services offered through the Early Involvement Mental Wellness Program. Assistant Director of Mental Wellness Key Performance Objectives Include:
Assists the Clinical Director of Counseling and Mental Wellness with supervising clinical staff to ensure optimum clinical development and performance for mental wellness programs within Catholic Charities. Provides leadership and direction to assigned staff to ensure delivery of a high level of service to clients; evaluates staff performance and productivity for optimal outcomes and budget management. Offers training and professional development to clinical staff to improve the diversity and quality of their clinical skills. Consults with the Clinical Director of Counseling and Mental Wellness for peer supervision and support. Provides clinical services to clients (with a reduced caseload). Assists the Clinical Director of Counseling and Mental Wellness to ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures, licensing and accreditation requirements, and all funding and contract obligations for all assigned regional programs. Ensures accurate and timely billing of all services and supervises the administrative staff. Assists the Clinical Director of Counseling and Mental Wellness to ensure accurate tracking of data, creates and generates statistical reports and other documents in order to provide accurate and current program and operational data, including but not limited to monthly program activity, outcomes, and staff productivity. Assists with grant writing/fundraising and public relations activities to create a positive image of the agency and a public climate conducive to financial support. Supervises interns assigned to the Mental Wellness Department. Serves as an ambassador for Catholic Charities with community organizations and parishes to provide and enhance program public relations, communications, and partnerships.
Minimum Qualifications:
A master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution is required. Licensed Clinical Psychologist or LCSW or LPC is required. A Creative Arts license is preferred. A minimum of five years of clinical experience is required. A minimum of three years of supervising clinical staff is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills are required. The proven ability to effect change is required.
