Job Description
(DME/Medical) Office Administrator Tri-State Home Care, Inc. 149 Grant Avenue, Millvale, PA 15209 Immediately Hiring! A DME business in Millvale, PA. We are looking for a potential employee with an outgoing personality and a strong work ethic. Prefer a potential employee with at least 1-year experience with medical or DME office administration or receptionist, and/or data entry and have or at least have some type of knowledgeability of home medical equipment and supplies and insurances and scripts. Must be at least 18 years old or older and must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Responsibilities (But not limited too): Prompt submissions of medical documents. Assisting and corresponding with colleagues. Answering multiline telephones. Retrieving & sorting mail. Ordering inventory. (Weekly) Maintaining patients’ files. (I.E. Updating prescriptions & Insurance sheets) Typing up & printing monthly delivery tickets. Corresponding (e-mail, letters, packages, etc.) with patients, service coordinators, insurance companies, and our suppliers, etc. Composing & compiling new patient’s or patients’ portfolios & updating the pre-exisitng patients’ portfolios. Scanning, uploading, and/or organizing various documents for filing purposes. Identifying and making to sure to bill secondary or tertiary insurances. Checking eligibility and benefits verification for service, supplies, and repair procedures. Updating spreadsheets and patient catalog. Updating and code applying any code changes. Keeping track of office supplies and place orders when necessary. In charge of accounts receivable. Scanning, uploading, and/or organizing various documents for filing purposes. Making and managing travel arrangements and appointments. Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and/or paper claim processing. Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances. Checking eligibility and benefits verification for service, supplies, and repair procedures. Data entry input, management, and verification. Pinpoint and thoroughly correcting any data entry errors.
Desired Skills:
Ability to work independent and accompanied. Able to multi-task and hustle to meet deadlines. Must have excellent organization skills and neatness. Must know basic computer skills. (I.E. Microsoft Office & Email, Etc.) Must know basic straightforward IT for simple troubleshooting and operations of equipment. (I.E. Printers, Fax, Basic Software Updates, Etc.) Excellent and swift at typing and spelling. Superb memorization skills. Strong, insightful, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Prefer at least 1-year experience in medical or DME office administrator/receptionist work and have or at least have some knowledge of home medical equipment and supplies. Knowledgeable of insurance and scripts. Knowledgable on prior authorization. Adept and comfortable with speaking with both patients and insurance companies’ representatives in a polite and professional manner.
