Develop Best Practices & Scale Impact – Develop and refine thebest approaches for working with healthcare partners and train thebusiness development team to ensure consistency and excellenceacross the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic RelationshipDevelopment Build and expand partnerships with psychiatric hospitals,primary care providers, and traditional hospitals to enhanceadmissions and drive value within these verticals. Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert forhealthcare providers, ensuring mutually beneficial relationshipsthat align with MHC’s mission. Develop and execute strategies to position MHC as the partnerof choice for Medicaid and uninsured populations with SMI.Trainingand Best Practices Develop and deliver playbook chapters and training for businessdevelopment representatives on best practices for engaging withhealthcare partners. Lead efforts to disseminate and operationalize best practicesacross MHC’s network to improve consistency and effectiveness. Share and implement best practices to optimize workflows andstrengthen relationships within the healthcare vertical. Collaborate with internal teams to align healthcarepartnerships with broader organizational objectives.

Accountabilityand Performance Track and evaluate performance metrics with a primary focus onadmissions from psychiatric hospitals, primary care providers, andtraditional hospital referral streams. Maintain a strong focus on in-person engagement, fosteringtrust and deepening relationships with healthcare partners. Ensure consistent use of CRM systems to accurately capture andtrack activities, outcomes, and partnership progress.

Compensation:

Base salary of $90K-$100K, with up to $20K+ in additionalincentives as applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education andExperience Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, or arelated field preferred. Minimum of 3 -5 years of experience in business development,sales, or healthcare partnerships. Demonstrated expertise in managing strategic relationships withhealthcare systems and providers. Major accounts experiencepreferred.

Skills and Competencies Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills with theability to engage and influence key stakeholders. High emotional intelligence. Strategic thinking with a track record of developing andexecuting successful partnership strategies. Mission-driven with a servant leadership mindset; humble,motivated, and impact-focused. Proficient in CRM platforms and data analytics, leveraginginsights to drive strategic decision-making and partnershipgrowth.

Additional Requirements Travel throughout MHC’s service area in Tennessee will berequired to engage current and prospective partners. Estimatedtravel percentage is 20-30%, including some overnight travel. Hybrid role, combining in-office, at home, and fieldtime.

We established ournon-profit agency by merging three community organizations: UrbanCase Management of Meharry Community Health Center, ContinuousTreatment Team of Council of Community Services, and Mobile CrisisTeam of the Crisis Intervention Center.

This fusion resulted in aninnovative, comprehensive, and multidisciplinary approach thataddresses the specialized needs of individuals living with severebehavioral health conditions and challenges related to poverty. MHCremains the only organization in the state focused solely on thispopulation.
