StaffDevelops and monitors the work activitiesin the Histology Lab and the Morgue. Performs routine histologicalactivities of receiving, preparing, and processing surgicalspecimens for patients.
REQUIRED
1. All applicants should meet the following education/experiencerequirements: a. Successful completion of a formal histology technologisttraining program, or an Associate’s degree in chemical, physical,or biological sciences. b. Certified as an HT/HTL (ASCP) or eligible to take the HT/HTL(ASCP) exam. Certification eligible applicants must passexamination within eighteen (18) months after school graduation orafter moving to the state of Georgia. c. Two (2) years’ experience in a pathology laboratory. 2. Attention to detail, good physical dexterity, and good writtenand oral communication skills. 3. All applicants must submit to and pass a Color-Acuity screeningTest.
PREFERRED
1. Computer keyboard and information system experience. 2. Immuno chemistry experience and/or training. 3.
