The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients. This position requires a strong understanding of laboratory techniques, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques, along with the ability to work efficiently in both clinical and research laboratory settings. Responsibilities Prepare and process tissue specimens for histological examination. Perform embedding, sectioning, and staining of tissue samples. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Conduct quality control checks on prepared slides to ensure accuracy. Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to support diagnostic processes. Document all procedures and maintain accurate records of laboratory activities. Assist in the training of new staff members on laboratory techniques and protocols. Skills Proficient in laboratory techniques related to histology, including embedding, sectioning, and staining. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to histopathology. Familiarity with aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during sample processing. Understanding of physiology and vital signs for effective patient interaction when phlebotomizing. Experience in both clinical and research laboratory environments is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
