PCA Personal Care Assistant Companions and Home Helpers Windham, CT 06280 Looking for
PCA WITH CAR!
!! Saturday and Sunday 12 hrs per week. Client needs PCA services. Help with bathroom and medication reminders. Must be able to take client to church on Sundays and must be comfortable with PETS!!
Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Personal Care Assistants. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals who require help with daily activities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Prepare and serve meals based on dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up living spaces
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed
- Engage in meaningful conversation and provide emotional support
- Document client progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Reliable transportation to travel to client locations Please note that all candidates must pass a background check before being hired.
