PCA Personal Care Assistant Jill Peddle 171 College Street, Lewiston, ME 04240 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support in my home and in the community. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of myself and the safety of me being able to stay at home. I am seeking a reliable candidate to come into my home during the evening hours to prepare and cook dinner, as well as light housekeeping. The ideal schedule would be four, three hour shifts. Duties Assist with meal preparation, cooking dinner, doing the dishes, and floors. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life. Help with mobility and transportation. Maintain a clean and safe environment within my home. Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in compliance with policies. Qualifications Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Understanding of general healthcare principles and best practices. Strong communication skills. Willing to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Must be able to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations. Reliable transportation. Must be at least 18 years old.
