Provides support for individuals and/or groups of persons with disabilities in the community. Assists the person(s) receiving services in identifying and communicating his or her requests and needs for services and supports. Implements services and supports to address the person’s goals and desired outcomes as identified through each person’s Centered Plan. Seek to understand the individuals in the context of their personal history, their social and family networks, and their hopes and dreams for the future. Relies on direction and supervision to accomplish the job. Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include: Requires a high school diploma or GED with some experience with the population supported preferred. Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included:
Regularly required to lift 30 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. Must be able to pull a minimum of 50lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to talk and hear.

Starting Pay Range:

Starting pay based on previous caregiver experience Available shifts vary by location. Typically, a variety of shifts are available during the day, afternoon, or overnight, seven days a week. We are looking for Caregivers

About the DSP/Caregiver position
At RHA, we provide high-quality services, excellent staff training, and opportunities for advancement within the organization. A typical day as a caregiver could include accompanying people to work, the movies, concerts, and shopping, teaching independent living skills, providing transportation to appointments, fostering positive relationships , preparing meals, assisting with personal care and bathing, helping around the home (laundry, cleaning, and decorating) and documenting the care you provide. The Direct Support role is an entry-level position that does not require any previous experience. All of the training and development needed to be successful and prepared for the position will be provided. Position Requirements
At least 18 years of age
Valid drivers’ license CNA Cerification
