Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is skilled in various aspects of patient care, including those with specific needs such as dementia or hospice care. Duties Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist patients with mobility and lifting as needed to ensure safety and comfort. Support patients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. Monitor and document patient health status and report any changes to the healthcare team. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals. Engage in home community care practices to foster a supportive environment for patients. Qualifications Experience in caregiving or home care is preferred; familiarity with dementia care or hospice care is a plus. Ability to lift and assist patients safely while following proper techniques. Strong understanding of patient care practices and medical terminology. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and families.
