Job Description
Direct Support Professional (DSP) John Ryan & Associates Manahawkin, NJ 08050 Job Summary Friday 9-4:30 Saturday and Sunday 11AM-5PM We are seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in Manahawkin. The ideal candidate will assist in daily living activities and help individuals lead fulfilling lives. Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help service recipients with household chores and meal preparation
- Support individuals in participating in community activities
- Administer medication under the direction of a nurse or healthcare professional
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health
- Experience in long-term care, home care, or behavioral support is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
