The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those in long-term care settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or receiving hospice care. Duties Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with mobility and physical activities to enhance their independence. Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs while adhering to any specific nutritional guidelines. Monitor and document clients’ health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medical protocols. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, following HIPAA regulations and best practices in caregiving. Assist with light housekeeping duties as needed to ensure a comfortable living space for clients. Requirements Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of HIPAA regulations is beneficial. Compassionate demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to perform caregiving tasks effectively while maintaining client dignity and respect. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documenting care provided. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations for employment in healthcare settings. Certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidates.
