Summary As a Direct Support Professional at OneWell Health Care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This position is essential in delivering person-centered care and ensuring that our clients receive the support they need to thrive. Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in daily living activities. Assist clients in developing life skills and achieving personal goals through tailored care plans. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients’ health needs, including vital signs. Ensure a safe and clean environment for all clients, promoting health and wellness. Advocate for residents’ rights and ensure their dignity is maintained at all times. Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams to enhance client care and outcomes. Document client progress and participate in regular assessments of care plans. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and personal growth. Qualifications Experience in dementia care or memory care settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of working with individuals on the autism spectrum is essential. Strong understanding of senior care practices and principles. CPR certification is a plus but can be obtained after hiring. Proficient in medication administration protocols and monitoring health indicators. Familiarity with resident rights and advocacy practices is crucial. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Ability to lift clients safely as needed; physical stamina for active engagement.
