PCA Personal Care Assistant (Weekends Only) Cherish In-Home Care Darlington, SC 29532 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. Responsibilities Provide support with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met. Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social outings. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider. Requirements Previous experience in memory care, nursing homes, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable. Ability to drive and possess a valid driver’s license. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
