Direct Support Professional Serene Path Home Care Tazewell, TN 37879 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including senior care facilities, group homes, and assisted living environments. This role is crucial in fostering independence and promoting social engagement among clients. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ social interactions and overall well-being. Implement individualized care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Monitor clients’ physical and emotional health, reporting any changes or concerns to appropriate staff or family members. Facilitate community integration by accompanying clients on outings and engaging them in recreational activities. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Document daily activities, progress, and any incidents in accordance with company policies. Qualifications Experience in senior care, group home settings, or similar environments is preferred. Knowledge of first aid practices and emergency response protocols is beneficial. Familiarity with assisted living, nursing home operations, memory care techniques, or direct support services is a plus. A background in social work or caregiving can enhance your effectiveness in this role. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
