Duties:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs
• Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
• Administer medication according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate records
• Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
• Collaborate with a team of professionals including social workers, nurses, and therapists
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment

Qualifications:

• Experience or education in social work, childcare, or a related field is preferred
• First aid and CPR certification is required, but we provide the training
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques is beneficial
• Ability to administer medication following proper protocols, after state mandated training
• Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for transportation purposes
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality is essential This role requires compassion, patience, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
