Job Description:
Are you someone who thrives in a hands-on, dynamic environment and wants to help build a world-class Package Engineering organization? Join our team as a Packaging Lab Technician and play a vital role in supporting our engineering team and lab operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist engineers with daily testing tasks and document test results for Distribution Test Reports. Conduct physical and environmental exposure testing in the Shock & Vibration Lab. Execute packaging instructions, conduct test sequences, and manage test data files. Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments of products. Manage lab schedules and participate in weekly status updates for all lab projects. Maintain lab housekeeping and ensure organization of supplies and materials. Define packaging materials with a focus on waste reduction. Follow lab processes and procedures with high attention to detail.
Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be detail-oriented, punctual, and capable of following established protocols. Will receive specific lab training from the Package Engineering Department.
Preferred Qualifications:
College education or coursework in Packaging, Material Sciences, or related programs. Experience in FDA-regulated environments. Knowledge of Packaging Standards such as ASTM D series and/or ISTA. Familiarity with ISO and GMP standards. Experience in technical writing. Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering coursework. Previous packing or warehouse experience. Experience with CAD or drafting/design software.
