Job Description
Description Position Overview:
This Laboratory Technician role is essential for sample retrieval in the field, preparation of samples, and reporting. Given that this is a start-up plant, the lab technician will also play a crucial role in creating processes, developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and establishing the lab.
Shift Details:
This position involves a 12-hour rotating shift. Responsibilities;

Lab Activities:
Set up lab equipment and prepare chemical solutions.

Testing and Analysis:
Conduct tests, interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present conclusions.

Documentation:
Carefully document every test result. During research and testing phases, accurately record all variables, including chemical type, amount, compound components, chemical temperature, and test duration.

Safety Standards:
Adhere to safety standards during laboratory testing, including wearing protective clothing and taking additional precautions as needed.

Product Formulation:
Improve current formulations of products when necessary.

Equipment Calibration:
Perform calibration of lab equipment. Skills; Chemistry, Laboratory, Qc, chemical testing, hazardous material, chemical analysis, chemical handling, chemical safety, field sampling
Requirements:

Educational Experience:
A chemistry degree or a related technical degree is preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of testing experience within a chemical lab setting.

Hazardous Material Handling:
Must have experience handling hazardous materials.

Industrial Experience:
Must have industrial experience and be able to adapt to the environment of an industrial site.

Ability to follow chemistry testing techniques.
