Facility in Coeur d’Alene, ID JobDetails Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Polysomnographer/SleepTech for a 13 week travel assignment in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a sleeptechnology program.
• One year of recent experience as apolysomnographer/sleep tech required
• Valid SleepTechnician/Polysomnography license in compliance with stateregulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Registered SleepTechnologist Certification (CPSGT or RPSGT)
• Other certificationsand licenses may be required for this position

Summary:

Apolysomnographer/sleep tech conducts diagnostic sleep studies toevaluate and manage patients with sleep disorders. They prepareequipment, educate patients on procedures, monitor and record sleepdata, and assist in analyzing results to aid in diagnosis andtreatment.

Essential Work Functions:

• Review patient history andverify orders
• Provide education to patient and/or family membersfor either in-center or at-home testing
• Follow proceduralprotocols to ensure collection of appropriate data
• Identify,correct, and document artifacts to maintain the integrity of therecorded data
• Document routine observations, including sleepstages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and othersignificant events in order to facilitate scoring andinterpretation of results
• Implement appropriate interventions asnecessary
• Assist with scoring sleep/wake stages and clinicalevents
• Follow sleep center policies and procedures
• Performsother duties as assigned within the scope of a

Polysomnographer/Sleep Technician Required Essential Skills:

• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonalcommunication skills
• The ability to read, write, & communicate inthe English language is required
• Ability to read/comprehendwritten instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiencyin PC skills
• Physical Abilities
• Remain in a stationaryposition, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling,bending
• Interpersonal Skills
• To work effectively with a varietyof personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positiveattitude and professionalism
• Technical/Motor Skills
• Ability tograsp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move aboutwhen assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
• Mental Requirements
• Must be able to cope with frequent contactwith the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines underpressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionallyas well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must beable to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally andcontinuous concentration to detail
