The Wound Care Nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate wound conditions and overall health status. Develop and implement comprehensive wound care plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Utilize advanced wound care techniques and treatments, including dressing changes and infection control measures. Educate patients and their families on wound care practices, prevention strategies, and self-management techniques. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in medical records. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively. Stay current with best practices in wound care management and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of practice. Experience in wound care nursing or related fields such as medical-surgical nursing or emergency medicine is preferred. Experience working in settings such as ER, urgent care, nursing homes, or pediatric intensive care units (PICU) is a plus. Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient conditions.
