Category Schools – LPN Nurse Job Type Contract A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is needed to provide essential healthcare services within a K-12 school setting in Framingham, MA. This contract role covers the complete school year (CSY), offering an opportunity to support the health and well-being of students in an educational environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and familiarity with school health protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers Perform routine health assessments and screenings for students Provide first aid and manage minor injuries or illnesses during school hours Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies Collaborate with school staff to support student health plans and coordinate care Educate students and staff on health-related topics as needed
Qualifications:
Current and valid LPN/LVN licensure in Massachusetts Experience working in pediatric or school nursing preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations Knowledge of infection control practices and health regulations in schools
