JOB SUMMARY
Licensed professionals in this position are responsible for verifying prescriptions and equipment settings to ensure prescribed therapy is prepared for delivery to patients in compliance with physician orders. The role requires professional review and interpretation of relevant clinical documentation to identify contraindications and verify prescription settings, to ensure patient safety and adherence to Apria’s clinical policies. Onsite M-F 8a-5p Kansas City, MO
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides and operates PAP and BiPAP-S equipment. Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition. Prepares and maintains a record for each patient, containing, physician prescriptions, sleep study reviews, identification of contraindications, verification of settings, and equipment checks, in accordance with Apria’s clinical policies. Enters accurate data on vendor compliance monitoring websites for certain respiratory equipment. Consults with referring physicians regarding patient treatment, medical condition, and plan of care relative to the provision of prescribed medical equipment. Adheres to HIPAA guidelines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/A MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Meets company minimum standard of Background Check Education and/or Experience Graduate of an accredited program for Respiratory Therapy, Licensed Practical Nursing or Registered Nursing is required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations Must hold an active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or a Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice to conduct the essential duties and responsibilities in accordance with a physician prescription. Respiratory Therapists must be registered or certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). All required licensure maintained in good standing with issuing state licensure Board.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
