School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Position Available In Lehigh, Pennsylvania

Category Schools – LPN Nurse Job Type Contract This contract opportunity is designed for licensed practical nurses (LPN/LVN) and registered nurses (RN) with experience in school nursing. The position supports a K-12 summer program running from June 23 through August 7. The setting is a structured educational and community environment aimed at providing care and assistance to students during the Extended School Year (ESY) session.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver nursing care to students, adhering to established health protocols and guidelines. Monitor and manage individual health plans and medication administration. Provide health assessments and respond to emergencies or health concerns. Liaise with educational staff and families to communicate student health needs. Maintain accurate and confidential health records.

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday, with nursing hours approximately from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (final schedule to be confirmed). Specific working dates include July 1, 2, 3, 7, 14, 21, 28, August 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Location disclosed only upon offer acceptance; the program operates within a community center environment in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Qualifications:

Current and valid LPN/LVN or RN license. Experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with children and school staff. Certification in CPR and First Aid is desirable.
