We are currently looking for an MA to support our team•a healthcare professional who is cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties. This role will ensure that quality services are provided consistently to meet the needs of our patients, medical staff and the public. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical practice and care to assist in examinations, diagnostics and treatment procedures. The right person will have at least one-year clinical office experience as well as Electronic Health Records experience. Phlebotomy and patient intake experience may be required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs patient intake including vital signs, medical history and medication review. Perform phlebotomy as needed, obtain specimens and administer medications as directed by the Physician. Assist Physician in exam room during physical exams and procedures. Prepare trays and supplies needed for office procedures or surgical procedures. Provide patients with instructions and/or post up instructions. Review and update charts for patients scheduled for appointments the next day. Maintain exam rooms, medication hall, any storage areas and rest rooms in compliance with housekeeping standards. Maintain medical equipment, clean and sterilize instruments maintaining compliance standards. Maintains accurate and timely documentation. Assist patients in transitions of care. Administers prescribe medication in accordance with clinical standards. Assists in obtaining prior authorization with patient medications. Assist patients in scheduling preventative services. Maintains working knowledge of payer requirements. Assist and other clinical team members as needed. Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff and patients. Notify Provider of any problems identified regarding documentation of lab/test results or requests not available on charts. Maintain compliance with OSHA and CLIA standards and any other regulations or guidelines for the clinical setting. Maintains patient confidentiality and protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with HIPAA. Floating locations may be necessary.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATE/LICENSE

High School Diploma or GED Credentialed Medical Assistant•Prefer certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants or other nationally recognized organization. CPR certification required (or ability to obtain certification within six months of employment.)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. May have exposure to communicable diseases, biohazard substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to medical environment.
