Position Description:

Providesleadership and is responsible for the implementation of the UHScorporate HTM program and services. Participates in definingstrategic direction of the HTM program through short and long-termgoal setting, technology assessment and planning, medical deviceintegration, operations, risk analysis, security, vendor andcontract management, fiduciary responsibilities, and requiredreporting. Focuses HTM program solutions to ensure that allpatients receive the safest and best possible experience while atour UHS facility(ies). Creates customized service delivery plansfor and develops and motivates the HTM team at assignedfacility(ies). Drives compliance with UHS HTM and Corporate goalsand objectives. Assists UHS HTM leadership with developing andstrengthening facility(ies) and vendor relationships. Ensures thatfacility(ies) program meets and exceeds regulatory requirements forhealthcare technology management. Develops and executes KPI’s.

Duties:

Manages all administrative and operational tasks related tothe HTM department at assigned facility. Deploys Corporate UHS HTMoperational solutions for the HTM Program across the assigned UHScontinuum. Provides direction, development and mentors all HTMstaff of the assigned facility. Has primary responsibility in therecruitment, management, retention and termination of HTM staffwithin the assigned facility. Provides reporting through the use ofthe CMMS database. Develops dashboards and components as directedby UHS HTM and UHS leadership. Develops and/or customizes CMMSreports necessary for all HTM operations. Works with HTMleadership, UHS leadership and facility leadership to effectivelymanage the HTM program and deliver the results and achieve orexceed expectations for program excellence. Develops and sustainsvendor relationships and ensures that staff develop and sustainsrelationships with facility staff and vendors. Works with assignedUHS facility to develop, maintain and sustain a 5-year capital planfor devices included in the CMMS database. Manages deviceevaluations, installations and disposition of medical devices.

Assists UHS leadership with suggestions for device acquisitionand/or replacement. QualificationsRequirements:

Associates Degree in electronics, electromechanicalor medical equipment; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Minimumof 5 – 8 years’ experience with healthcare technology programs withmanagement experience. Experience with healthcare technologymanagement programs including leadership. Professionalcertification preferred (CBET, CRES, CLES or CHTM). Driver’sLicense required. Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers,models, modalities, capital planning, etc…) Understanding ofregulatory requirements for medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB,NRC, State, Local); Strong computer skills (proficient withMicrosoft products), experience with CMMS products; Strong planningand organization skills. Excellent oral and written communicationand presentation skills. Travel will be required periodically.
