Acute Care Responsibilities:

Design, generate, and measure radiation dose distributions and dose calculations while providing oversight to high level treatment procedures in both external beam radiation therapy and brachytherapy Communicate the patient’s treatment plan to the Radiation Therapists by providing field arrangements, beam modification devices, and any concerns that may arise during treatment planning phase Perform calculations for accurate delivery of the Radiation Oncologist’s prescribed dose, documents pertinent information in the patient record, and verifies the mathematical accuracy of all calculation Prepare computerized plans for radiation therapy patients (EBRT and Brachytherapy) Check patient’s charts to assure the prescribed delivery of radiation Maintain clinical competence by attending continuing education programs Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

MOSAIQ Pinnacle Minimum of 1 year of experience 1+ yr EPIC Beacon and/or Aria OIS experience Bachelor’s Degree certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) Strong technical skills in math and physics to accurately design radiation plans Overall knowledge of Mathematics, Physics, Anatomy, Physiology, and Radiobiology
