The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office by managing patient records, verifying insurance information, making all insurance claims get paid in a timely manner, and assisting with dental coding. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and HIPAA regulations, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Manage and maintain accurate patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Verify patient insurance information and assist with the billing process. Perform medical coding using ICD-10 and other relevant coding systems for dental procedures. Coordinate with dental staff to ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately. Assist in the scheduling of patient appointments and follow-up communications. Provide support in the management of office operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients. Stay updated on changes in medical terminology and coding practices to maintain compliance. Skills Proficiency in medical office operations, including knowledge of insurance verification processes. Strong understanding of medical coding practices, particularly ICD-10. Familiarity with dental office procedures and terminology. Ability to manage medical records efficiently while adhering to privacy regulations (HIPAA). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
