PositionSummary:
This position will be based in Raleigh, NC A pet owner’smost trusted advisor is often their veterinarian. As a TerritorySales Manager for our Veterinary Sales Team, you are the facebehind our brand as these providers consider Pro Plan VeterinaryDiets®. Proper nutrition is key to optimal dog and cat health. Itis an idea carried throughout our entire line of veterinary petfood—specialized nutrition that makes a difference. Pro PlanVeterinary Diets® include products focused on dietary management ofdogs and cats with specific health problems. This role will provideyou an incredible portfolio of formulas to represent each of thembacked by scientific research and Purina’s unparalleled petexpertise. Globally, Nestlé has 27 research, development, andtechnology centers along with over 500 scientists dedicated toensuring top quality and creating innovative approaches to make thelives of dogs and cats better. Through continuous training,Territory Sales Managers will develop an expertise in our diets andstrategic sales plans, just as you’ll need to understand ourchannel partners’ goals, so that we are simultaneously creating ahealthier pet community and gaining market share. You’ll achievethis through your high level of professionalism, entrepreneurialspirit, advocacy, and business acumen as you leverage Purina’sadvancing technology and industry-leading innovation to nurturerelationships with current clients and build new client business.
Promote Pro Plan Veterinary Diet® product line Grow the PurinaVeterinary business by using innovative sales and marketingconcepts to achieve assigned goals in all key measures Call onexisting and potential clients to create targeted, brand-buildingsales and marketing programs to drive volume and hit quantitativeand qualitative sales goals Develop and implement strategicbusiness plans within assigned geography Create a positive Purinaexperience by providing top-tier customer service to clientsthrough a consultative selling approach Work cross-functionallywith regional teams, distributor channel, and counterparts acrossthe country Influence with integrity by identifying each clinic’sbusiness needs, and then leveraging consumer insights and trends tosupport your recommendations Develop and foster businessrelationships with key decision makers to gain activerecommendations of Purina to veterinary clients Provide NutritionalPet Food Diet expertise to Veterinarians and their staff throughclinic calls, product detailing/comparisons,

Bachelor’s Degree required 1 yearsof sales experience required

You are required to have avalid state driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record andcarry automobile insurance in the following amounts: $100,000bodily injury liability per person $300,000 bodily injury liabilityper occurrence $50,000 property damage Must be able to travel,including overnight as needed to manage the assigned territory Musthave reliable transportation in order to manage the assignedterritory In order to be considered for this role, you must bewilling to relocate: If you currently reside in the territory, youmay need to be open to relocate for future advancementopportunities If you currently do not reside in the territory, youwill need to relocate to the territory upon offer acceptance andfor future advancement opportunities Don’t meet all thequalifications listed under “other”? Final compensation may vary based on factors including but notlimited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographiclocation.
