Summary As a Health Information Technician at MedLife Primary & Urgent Care, you will play an essential role in managing patient information and supporting our healthcare team. This position is crucial for maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Manage Inventory and prepare Inventory. Oversees the completion of clinic inboxes with the assistance of a virtual team. Organize and maintain patient medical records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. Assist healthcare providers with retrieving patient information as needed. Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the flow of information between providers and patients. Respond to requests for medical records from patients, insurance companies, or other authorized entities. Adhere to confidentiality standards and protect patient privacy at all times. Inventory control Prescription prior authorization management Qualifications Proven experience in managing medical records within a healthcare setting. Strong understanding of medical terminology and office procedures. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) ATHENA systems is required. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and patients.
