Medical Scribe/Wound Care Tech Innovative Healing Systems Inc Hazlehurst, GA 31539 The successful candidate will possess excellent computer, EHR, medical terminology and clinical skills. Under the direction of the Clinic Nurse Manager or Registered Nurse, will perform tasks and operational support supporting delivery of patient care. Prepares patients for examination, procedures, and takes vital signs records in the Electronic Medical Record. Supports front desk operations as necessary. In collaboration with the Clinic Nurse Manager, facilitates ordering of medical supplies. Participates in maintaining a safe patient environment at all times and ensures the timely submission of EHR documentation to hospital’s medical record department to meet compliance standards in coding, billing and clinical audits. Assists with verification of insurance authorization received and noted in electronic medical record. Performs tasks supporting provider transcription. While performing tasks, under the supervision of the provider, strong customer services are essential. Position will provide clerical support during the delivery of patient care, recording provider’s dictation into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in real time. Participates in maintaining a safe patient environment at all times. Possess strong verbal communication, computer and comprehensive skills.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Accompanies physician during patient care appointments. Records providers patient care dictation directly into EMR. Data entry skills – entering patient information into EMR at point of service. Maintains a neat, clean organized work environment and helps colleagues as needed. Escorts patient to examination room, completes vital signs, removes dressings, takes pictures of all wounds appropriately, positions patient comfortably for nursing and medical examination, and uploads information into EMR as per HIPAA guidelines.

Assists in delivery of care with physician/nurse as needed. Facilitates patient process and flow in a timely manner. Maintains a neat, clean and organized work environment, assisting colleagues as needed. Responsible for providing support in hyperbaric unit as needed and trained. Provides report to Hyperbaric Technician regarding patient’s condition and observations. Attends and participates in staff meetings and required in-services. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications required:

EMT/Paramedics/LPNs in this role will be prepared to become Certified Hyperbaric Technologists; CNA’s/MA’s will be prepaired to become Certified Hyperbaric Specialists.
