CFP Care Team is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents that reside in Assisted Living communities through out central Florida. We provide compassionate, person-centered care for individuals, including those experiencing dementia, depression, anxiety, or other mental health challenges common among the aging population.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) or Certified Psychiatric Technician (CPT) to join our care team. The BHT/CPT plays a vital role in providing direct support to residents with behavioral health needs, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment. This individual works under the supervision of licensed clinicians to implement individualized care plans and promote emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor behavioral care plans Document resident behavior, mood, and incidents accurately and promptly Collaborate with providers, nurses, caregivers, and family members. Support residents during transitions or episodes of emotional distress Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment at all times

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required); Medical Assistant certification or equivalent (preferred) Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, or assisted living care (preferred) BHT or CPT certification (preferred) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Patience, empathy, and a strong sense of responsibility Medical Terminology (required) Must have reliable transportation
