Clinic Nurse Practitioner – Woman’s Breast Specialists Womans Hospital – 4.1 Baton Rouge, LA Job Details Full-time $44.64 – $73.66 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Certified Nurse Practitioner APRN Clinic Mid-level Nursing Full Job Description The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for collaborating with physicians in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of medical care within a breast specialty clinic. Works closely with clinic staff, including genetic counselors, referring facilities and providers, and hospital departments in management of plan of care.
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Requires Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) license Prescriptive authority in the state of Louisiana is required or the application process to obtain must be submitted within 5 business days of hire Requires a minimum of three years of nurse practitioner experience, preferably in a specialty clinic. Responsibilities of Clinic Nurse Practitioner include, but are not limited to: Conduct comprehensive histories and physical exams for patients with breast concerns, including high risk breast concerns and surveillance. Collaborate with collaborating physicians and the care team to develop, initiate, and manage individualized treatment plans, including hormonal therapy, chemotherapy support, and survivorship care. Perform in-office procedures as permitted by scope. Monitor patients for treatment side effects, complications, or recurrence. Provide education on diagnoses, treatment options, symptom management, and survivorship. Offer emotional support and connect patients with resources like support groups and financial counseling. Facilitate referrals, imaging, labs, and surgical consults. Serve as a liaison between patients and multidisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate and timely documentation. Ensure care meets clinical protocols, regulatory guidelines, and evidence-based standards.
