Current Louisiana RN licensure and Nurse Practitioner registration At least 1 year of experience prior to completion of a Nurse Practitioner program Outstanding clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

What You Will Do:

Provide direct patient care under the direction of a physician, performing delegated medical interventions and procedures per established practice parameters Write initial and ongoing assessments, progress notes, orders, and documentation using established protocols Order and interpret laboratory, respiratory, and radiology data to incorporate into the medical record Assist physicians with examinations and procedures Develop and revise care plans based on patient assessments, participating in multidisciplinary care planning Provide patient and family education based on needs and collaborate on discharge planning Utilize internal and external resources to resolve patient issues, contribute to quality improvement, and serve as a liaison and educator Maintain clinical competencies, participate in professional development, and conduct formal/informal in-services for nursing staff
