As the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you would be working at one of our many outpatient clinics treating adult patients suffering from chronic to severe mental illness. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:

Performing psychiatric evaluations and medication management in outpatient setting Working with a team of 15 Psychiatry Providers Documenting all notes in EMR system (Net Smart) Responsible for seeing anywhere from 12-15 patients per day (20-30% no show rate) 1 hour allotted for psychiatric evaluations 20-30 minutes allotted for medication management Working with patients ages 18 and older suffering from various substance abuse, schizophrenia, substance abuse, bipolar disorder, and anxiety Working with social workers to help diagnose and treatment patients using cognitive behavioral therapy Requirements for

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:

Master’s Degree of Nursing from accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program Active DEA license Active New York state license Preferred Board Certification 1+ year of PMHNP experience strongly preferred Experience with community health strongly preferred Must be focused on delivering high quality patient care
