Responsibilities:

Provide basic personal care to patients. Perform daily tasks such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and transportation of patients as directed by the nurse. Ensure the privacy and dignity of each patient is maintained at all times. Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for the patient by performing routine cleaning tasks. Maintain and monitor safety equipment such as beds, chairs, and walkers. Collaborate with supportive care team members to provide person centered care. Plan, accept direction, and perform frequent rounds with nurses to provide the highest level of care for our residents. Collect vital signs and observe resident for changes in condition and collaborate with nurses to assist in plan of care and recovery.

Qualifications:

Must be licensed in the state of Florida. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance as required (every other weekend is required). Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment exam, if required.

Physical demands and environment:

Frequent walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling. Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate and relate positively and favorably to residents, families, and outside agencies and to work cooperatively with other associates. Ability to remain calm under stress. Understand, comply with, and promote rules regarding residents’ rights. Maintain an orderly, confidential, and safe work environment. Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
