out of 5 stars Covington, GA 30016 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, including those with disabilities, memory care needs, and long-term care requirements. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized care and support in a respectful and dignified manner. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide mobility assistance and help clients navigate their living environment safely. Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health status. Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs. Assist with catheter care and other medical procedures as required. Qualifications Previous experience in personal care, long-term care, or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with medical office systems and electronic health records (Epic) is a plus. Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities, memory care needs, urgent care situations, medical-surgical conditions, or pediatrics is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred but not mandatory at the time of hiring; training may be provided.
