Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 1:1 Support Shillington (RF: 3176) Position Available In Berks, Pennsylvania

We are currently seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a one-on-one position supporting a student with high medical needs in the Shillington, PA 19607 area. The student is in a primary classroom and requires full care throughout the day. This position begins on July 7 for the Extended School Year (ESY) program, with a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. There will be no sessions the week of July 21-July 24, and ESY will conclude on August 7. The role will resume on August 25 for the 2025-2026 school year, with a full-time schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 2:45 PM.

Qualifications:

Must be a certified CNA in the state of Pennsylvania Must have experience or a strong comfort level working with full-care individuals Must have up-to-date Pennsylvania clearances: FBI Fingerprint (PDE) PA Criminal Background Check PA Child Abuse Clearance Act 168, Act 24

Mandated Reporter Training Responsibilities:

Provide full-day, one-on-one care for a 10-year-old male student with significant medical needs in a primary classroom setting Assist with daily care tasks, including feeding (soft food diet), changing, repositioning, and mobility support Monitor and respond to the student’s complex medical conditions, including seizure disorder and severe asthma, alerting the school nurse (who will administer medications) as needed Support the student’s use of assistive equipment, including a wheelchair, stander, and designated floor time activities under the direction of the Physical Therapist Ensure the student’s safety, comfort, and dignity throughout the school day Maintain clear communication with school staff and document any relevant observations or care-related notes as required Foster a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages the student’s participation and engagement within their learning setting At Humanus, we are devoted to making a difference and improving the lives of others.
