In this vital role, you’ll oversee the daily operations of a group home serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll lead a dedicated team, ensure smooth day-to-day functioning, and create a supportive, safe, and structured environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage, schedule, and supervise direct care staff Ensure high-quality care and compliance with all guidelines Provide hands-on support, including filling in various shifts as needed Perform administrative duties (8 hours weekly) Support clients with physical fitness goals (e.g., workouts, strength training) Respond to behavioral challenges using proven de-escalation strategies Foster a calm, respectful, and person-centered environment

Our staff provides direct support services aimed at providing care and guidance to our clients to help them learn, retain, and improve their skills! About This Position (Group Home Manager): The Group Home Manager is a key supervisory role responsible for the oversight and coordination of daily operations within a residential setting serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This position ensures the delivery of person-centered services while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, agency policies, and individualized support plans. The Manager will supervise direct support staff, develop and maintain staff schedules, assist with crisis intervention, and perform routine administrative duties, including documentation, reporting, and quality assurance tasks. A vital component of the role involves modeling and supporting therapeutic approaches to behavioral challenges, including the use of de-escalation strategies and structured behavior intervention plans. This position requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to work effectively in a team-based setting, and a high level of personal accountability. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing behavioral presentations, exhibit strong leadership qualities, and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive living environment for residents. Please describe your experience w working with individuals that are in the IDD populations. Also describe your experience working in a residential setting. Are you comfortable assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) after receiving training? These tasks may include but are not limited to: Personal Care, Mobility Support, Meal Preparation & Feeding, Toileting & Continence Care, and/or Household Tasks. Would you be comfortable performing these essential duties as part of your role?
