Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to,experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at thetime of the offer. Responsibilities Coordinate unit staffing andprovide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinicalobjectives and quality patient care for one or more assignednursing specialty areas: Cardiovascular/Cath Lab, SurgicalServices, Emergency/Triage, Endoscopy, Adult or Pediatric/NeoNatalCritical Care, Labor & Delivery/Women & Family.

• Assign, direct,educate and monitor nursing and support associates during assignedshifts.
• Meet with staff and exercise independent judgment to planthe shifts, services, and patient care.
• Assess daily patient careneeds and develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuringthat population appropriate patient care is given and isaccountable for maintaining productivity standards and justifyingvariances to unit manager or designee.
• Respond to complaintsabout patient care and manage through established channels.
• Facilitate availability of adequate material, resources andsupplies.
• Set priorities appropriate to daily patient/physiciandynamics.
• Provide input into hiring, training, directing,development and evaluation of staff Requirements Licensure /Certification /

Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursingobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1year of cumulative job specific experience required.
